TEENS-IN-FLIGHT

A 501 (c) 3 foundation formed to support the families of our military.

Mission Statement: Through the modem of aerospace education we open the doors of opportunity.  Teens-In-Flight provides flight training and aviation maintenance scholarships to those teens who have lost a parent in the Global War on Terrorism or, is the teen of a parent who was wounded in action and is disabled. Another phase of our program also focuses on selected teens that are considered "at risk" within our community by providing a positive aviation intervention experience.

IVAN SOLOS

Ivan looses the back of his shirt after soloing in 3 different birds on his 16th birthday. He flew solo in the PA 17 (Vagabond), C-150, and C-172. A darn good pilot. Ivan has been with us since he was 11 years of age.

Teens-In-Flight student and Civil Air Patrol Cadet 2nd Lt Jonathan Jenkins  recently received the Civil Air Patrol's "Billy Mitchell  Award".  This award recognizes the leadership abilities that Jonathan exhibits on a daily basis in all of his endeavors. 


Teens-In-Flight President Jack Howell met with John and Martha King at Sun' N Fun in Lakeland, FL.  John & Martha own King Schools in San Diego, CA. Teens-In-Flight President Jack Howell meets with Eric Lindbergh, grandson of Charles Lindbergh, at Sun' N Fun, Lakeland, FL.  Eric was briefed on the TIF program and goals.

Kaitlyn Majetich and her dad Jerry on the flight line.  Jerry was seriously injured in Iraq by an IED and medically retired from the US Army. Kaitlyn is learning to fly through Teems-In-Flight.
Teens-In-Flight President Jack Howell meets and briefs US Airway First Officer Jeff Skiles.  Jeff was the co-pilot landing flight 1549 into the Hudson River.

 

Former Teens-In-Flight student Victoria Emerson is now a West Point cadet.  She stopped by to see the new Teens-In-Flight aircraft at the Flagler County airport. FLAGLER CLASS GETS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Flagler Teens-In-Flight seniors with their college scholarship offers. 

 Teens-In-Flight has assisted these students in their scholarship endeavors through our supporters and friends.

President Jack Howell proudly stands with four of our students that have excelled in the program. These student have received college scholarships to continue their aviation education beyond the scope of Teens-in-Flight. We congratulate them on their hard work and dedication to aviation excellence. We are blessed to be part of their lives.

On the left is Emily Eitzen who has received several scholarship offers.  She is considering attend Jacksonville University's aviation program as her first choice.  

Standing next to her is Victoria Emerson who will be going to UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY, WEST POINT. What an accomplishment

 

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University bound students.  

To the left is Chris Carr and Foster Diebold. Both have received aviation scholarships to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. These guys are good.
